View Full Version : Mcgowan Blank Barrels

I oredered a barrel from mcgowan about 6 weeks ago, i usually like shillen but they were backordered a long time so i figured id give mcgowan a try. Mcgowan emailed me when the order was placed and said give us 4-6 weeks and well ship it. its now been over 6 weeks so i called them, and they said they didnt have a blank in stock now so to expect another 4-6 weeks before delivery. If i had known it would take this long i just would have ordered a shillen! Anything i can do to speed this up since they time was actually double the quote? I dont like to complain but 4- 6 weeks turned into 10- 12 weeks!

This seams to be a ongoing problem with McGowan. I like the two barrels I have from them, but they were both bought from the outlet.

Well I waited 10 months for the last Shilen I ordered so I think your doing pretty good.

If everyone would stop buying barrels, we wouldn't have to wait so long.

Blanks are shipped directly from the plant.

What caliber and twist did you order? I will see if there is anything I can do for you.
