.223 Bought!

I just bought a Axis 223. I have lurked on here and just became a unpaid member a few days ago but I am pumped for the new gun. I have a Model 111 in .270 already and that gun is a champ. I wanted a yote gun with cheap ammo so I bought the .223. I have been working on a stock for a gun but now I have what I needed a gun! I have researched the recoil lug install somewhat but I am wondering if I should permanently bed this lug in the stock or tape it when I put it in the new stock?
Also where is the best place for pillars?
