Magazine help

I have a 116 with a bull barrel it is a 300win mag. I want a detachable box magazine in stead of the hinged floorplate but inletting, ai mags and cdi bottom metal adds up quick. Eventually I will go that route probably.

1. Can I purchase factory bottom metal and where?

2. Also can I get a larger capacity magazine for savage long action factory metal?

I looked into the same for a long time (same gun but with factory DBM). If you are centerfeed, seems like you could just get the Savage factory metal and DBM or just buy a takeoff with DBM. I went CDI on a Choate and am very happy with my decision but the factory stock can easily be inletted. There are cheaper bottom metals and AI clone mag options out there that also get great reviews.

Jetpig what are the cheaper mag options other than cdi? My rifle is centerfeed and also I just ordered a choate tactical for it.
