Iam looking at a new short action Savage build and have some questions concerning DBM's. I will possibly be going with CDI for the bottom metal because they have a good reputation and they can do the stock inletting as well. The fit/functionality of CDI is supposed to be top notch, however you have to pay out the ass for AI mags.
The other company that I've heard great things about their DBM system is Accurate Mag. They have more mag options, and their mags are not as expensive. I don't know about inletting for the install, or whether they offer this service.
Will Accurate Mags work with CDI bottom metal? Are there any stocks available that will be drop-in fits for Accurate Mags based on a Savage short action? Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
