MArk II 22 LR

Needed a SS 22 with iron sights. Was gifted a Mark II SS Synthetic. Perfect for the trapline. This darn rifle is shooting 3" high at 30 yards and the rear sight is all the way down. Has anyone else experienced this with the Mark II iron sights?

Please don't tell me to put on a scope on it.

The front sight needs to be higher about .045".

Or the rear sight needs to lower, which it will not. Is this a recognized problem on this rifle?
