Can't see the pictures.

But if you found a couple old mid century shotguns new in the box I'd say you did pretty darn good, pending price.

I think the pictures will work we bought them from a gentle man in his seventies whose dad had a hardware store in new York closed it down many years ago he has them stored unopened and did not want them any more I believe the store was closed in the 50s

Wow, those are nice, you won't find them like that anymore.

Curious as to how much you paid for the pair?

Ya, there is a way. If they were made in Utica I wouldn't be able to date them but I see by the boxes they were made at the Chicopee plant so I should be able to date them.

Just let me know the serial numbers, if there earlier than when they started to stamp the serial numbers then I'll need the date code. It's a small oval stamp on the gun with a number and a letter inside of it.

Mad Dog the small oval mark is 4F

So it was made in 1954, very nice. I know a lot of collectors that would love to get their hands on those.

What you want to have when you try to post a picture will look like this:

[i m g]http://i1356.photobucket.com/albums/q730/tonyanded02/th_DSCF22791_zps4754667a.jpg[/i m g]

Just omit the spaces in the IMG tags. Any additional code or tags will just result in a mess like you had above. Photobucket has a specific code option that matches this labeled "IMG code", but you may have to go into the "Update Link Options" menu and select it to make it visible.

A 20 guage 220A is a SWEET little gun, especially in that kind of shape! But IMO a 12 guage 94 (or 220) is a wicked kicker unless you use very light loads, or get a Savage "FourTenner" insert barrel for it.

I like those "FourTenners" in lightweight 12s, unless you're huntin' big stuff like phez, turkeys, ducks, geese, or coyotes.
