Thank you!! I am very pleased the way it turned out. I really like the ergonomics of the VLP stock, and the Triad Tactical stock pack has the adjustable strips inside to make it the comb height perfect for me. I hope to be able to post some groupings soon!!

How'd you manage the bottom bolt release?

@guhunter - Thanks, I am rather pleased the way it turned out!!

@BoilerUP - For the bolt release, I just stick a small plastic toothbrush handle inside to hold the tab back. It is easy enough to do, and I just carry it in my pack. I know I can replace the sear with an older side release version, but I didn't want to wear the side of the receiver.

I was trying to get into another Manners MSC-T, but I found the new VLP take off for $90.00 shipped... couldn't pass it up. I really like the ergonomics to them, and the weight is really good for prone shooting. I think I will keep it like this for some time to come!!

What bi-pod adapter did you use and was the stock pre-drilled?

Stock was factory pre-drilled with a sling stud. I just added the Harris to it. Hopefully my Atlas will be here soon, then I will be installing the rail for it.

The magazine is one of my conversions that I used to build. It is a 10 round "RatMag" conversion. Unfortunately, the new Colorado laws have made it illegal for me to build them anymore. Dan @ Dark Eagle Customs builds a 10 round magazine as well, but he is backordered. I am working with a group from Ohio, and hopefully they will get the details worked out and begin to ship their 243/308 magazines soon. His name is Tom Snyder, and his website is Snyder Magazines.

RatMag you guys in colorado need to look at the bright side. Its illegal to own a 10 round MAGAZINE but you can now own a roach CLIP.

By the way that is a good looking build!

Thanks for the compliments!! Yes, the guys on the front range have to shoot through all the "weed" that is now legal. Stupid laws.

You are more than welcome for the information!!
