Has anyone lapped there Maxima scope rings?
While waiting for my scope to be shipped i mounted a 1" wheeler lapping bar just for fun. It held it tight.
When i took it out i noticed that there was not much ring to bar contact, only around the border or edges of each ring half. I would assume that this is due to their powder coat finish. Not knocking the product or the choice of finish but from what i saw the contact area would be exponentially more if the rings were lapped. if nothing else just to smooth out high spots in the powdercoat.
So Warne users, any insight would be appreciated.
