I'm thinking about mounting a set of Lyman peep sights to my 110. Just wondering what work would be involved with mounting the front sight since the front sights need a dovetail and my 110 was a package deal rifle with a scope. Thinking about the 57WJS rear sights and a post and globe front sight.

Also, would the rear sight block off the rear mounting point for a scope? Thanks in advance!

Most front sights on hunting type rifles are of the ramp style that use a 6-48 screw to attach it to the barrel. Any gunsmith or machinist can drill and tap for the front sight screw. The ramp has a dovetail on top that the front sight insert slides into allowing you to change the height, color etc. I have always preferred Williams Gun Sight Corp. to Lyman, but both are good.
