I recall high praise for H380 as noted in the link below. In reality, you may be stuck with whatever powder you can find!

H380 is they original 22-250 powder for a reason, anyway 41gr of it behind a 55gr Berger, will make you all warm and fuzzy, equal amounts of that CFE 223 will also yield excellent results, and don't forget good old Varget 37gr will never let you down.

I use IMR 4064 behind 55 gr. Midway Dogtown (a repackaged Nosler Varmageddon, the FBHP version), with excellent results. Avg .6 @ 200yds with groups as tight as .3 @ 200yds.
Same gun as you (12FV 22-250)
Not your bullet and definitely not a match bullet but might be worth a try.
Also have had great results with Varget but when I found 8 lbs of 4064 at a good price I got it.

You might get more results if you move this to the "ammo and reloading of standard cartridges" section.

You will probably find that most of the recommended powders will produce fantastic results. From all the ones I have been around, the 250 is one of the most forgiving with variations. It will digest just about anything and produce nice little holes right where you want them.

Sorry for putting this in the wrong place. I had already posted it before I realized the reload section. Thanks for moving it.
Thanks for the info also I have a couple of pounds of H380 & IMR 4064 to get started with
