Well i'm sitting here wishing i had never let my .260 lwh get away but i did. So that brings me to the new problem of finding a lwh in .243 since that what i want to try next.

My question is how many of the .243 lwh's are out there? I have run across a couple of .223's, a couple of .260's and one .308, but i haven't found anyone with a lwh .243 yet. Have you or do you know of anyone with one?

Buy a 308, 243 or 223 and switch the barrel to .243...seems obvious to me :P

Grabagun has one, http://grabagun.com/savage-arms-11-lwh-243win-bl-wd-20.html. I bought my 6.5 Creedmoor from them.

Thanks David_4, thats not a bad price and i don't know how you could beat $6 shipping. At this point i would just like to hear from some who have one and what they think about it. I will keep Grabagun in mind when it's time.

Grabagun had the best price by far when I ordered mine last year. I don't have a 243 in the LWH, but love my 6.5.

My LWH started as a 20" in 6.5 Creedmoor. Definitely did not like the 20" setup. Just too light with the pencil barrel and too much muzzle jump. Converted the rifle with a 22" 243 axis barrel and that was just what the rifle needed. Looks good and shoots great.

Thanks wbm, my .260 had some jump also. I just have the urge to try the .243 this time.
