bluing bolt?

Any reason I shouldn't try bluing the bolt body on my 110? The rest of the metal and stock is all matte. I'd like to darken the bolt to match. Has anyone else done so?

Works well. Be sure to degrease well first.

Should I scrub the Savage logo off first? What happens to it?

An easier route can be taken, and a fresh, shiny Savage logo too!

Well, I did it.
Pretty easy.
I am not sure, but might have lost the logo.
Oh well. Looks good, anyhow. :)
