22-250 Barrel

Looking to order a new barrel for an action I have sitting around. First off this will be a 90% hunting rifle so I dont need a $400 barrel, not ruling it out, just saying. I like the fluted predator barrel and would like something similiar (22-24 inches, medium contour, flutes or not) So I guess my question is where can I get something similiar? Does Savage sell just barrels? Any help would be appreciated.

You can find barrels for your Savage for sale here or aftermarket vendors like E.R. Shaw etc.

Thanks wbm, i have looked into the ER Shaw barrels and still might go that route just seeing what other options i may have overlooked. As far as finding barrels here, i have bought and sold items here so thats an option always just dont see medium / heavy sporter contour barrels going in the classifieds often / if ever.

I picked up a fluted predator barrel in 22/250 in the classifieds last month. 166 rounds down range and it came with documentation on each of the 166, including load data the barrel preferred. They show up from time to time.

Gunshack custom McGowan for 289$ with free shipping may get you what you want. Look at barrels on Numrich website too.

You might try giving Jim at Northland Shooters Supply. He has custom barrels but also has a few factory barrels around.
Don't have his number handy but its readily available. Great guy to deal with.

I just sold a brand new factory 26in blued varmint contour from a brand new savage 12 on gunbroker for $93 I paid shipping. Then one I seen sell before it sold for $105+ $15 shipping. They are out there just keep an eye out. I will tell you this I didn't pay a fraction of what I sold mine for
