Any one try the 25 ACP necked-down to 17 caliber yet ?
Figure with heavy-for-caliber bonded-core partition bullets in a fast-twist 40-inch barrel that it would be suitable for the smaller varieties of flying pests.

Like the southern end of a northbound gnat?
Seems like it'd be a real pain to handload. Short case, small bullet. But interesting concept for sure!

Figure you could load 'em on Dillon's commercial-size Super 1050 to keep up with the number of gnats.

17 caliber is a horse fly caliber. Even the largest record setting bull gnat can easily be handled by a quality .10 caliber round such as these two examples created by the late Bill Eichelberger. Bullets are a little harder to come by though.

Hammer,
I though you were implying the use of .45 ACP case not the paltry .25 ACP. :p
