Just noticed something today on the face of my Savage 10BA bolt face. This gun has approx 800 rounds through it. I'm pretty picky about cleaning and inspecting as I clean. I don't think I noticed this before. Before today, last time gun was shot in a match, so it had 70+ rounds, so I would not of had time to inspect it from the time we started until the end.

It appears to have a little pit in the bolt face just under where the firing pin hole is. Anyone ever see this before?

Looks like etching from leakage around primers.

Had some at last match that went in pretty easy. Think the bolt is OK?

The bolt is okay, your brass is trashed though.
