I own a savage 11vt 308 with th cheap stock. Is it gonna b worth the 100 bucks to go ahead an upgrade the stock to tge tacticool... Im not having any oroblems with my barrel hitting the forearm... Also, with tge tacticool, shoukd i pillar or just go ahead and do tge regular bedding. I have never done a bedding job...is it something a novice could pull off

Go to accurateshooter.com and look for the stress free bedding article by Rich Franklin and then decide if you are capable to take on the bedding job. he explains it very well.
