Has anyone ever actually counted how many wrong ways there are to reassemble a Savage bolt? OR How many dumb S.C. rednecks it takes to reassemble a Savage bolt?......Just 1 if he doesn't give up or throw the parts _______(enter your favorite place here) scpaul
Sometimes you can get "screwed" with "bolts".:p

Savage bolts are easy.
Just a few things to remember...
Like -
a) un-cock it before disassembly.
b) Spring tension. Not too tight, not too lose...
c) Don't forget the sleeve for the cocking button thingie.
d) Bolt handle goes on 2 ways. Pick the right one.
e) firing pin protrusion.
f) Re-cock the **** thing before trying to insert into action.
g) Make sure bolt screw is tight.
I) Everything else.....
Or, so I'm told.

is it a bad idea to try and break the BAS loose with the bolt in the gun to hold it?
