I'm sure this isn't the first time this came up, but just bought a new 114 and I want to try some loads for accuracy that can be used later for whitetails...anybody have any factory loads their .270s group well with? What should I try so I don't have to buy a box of everything?

PS I'll automatically try the Rem core lokt and win x's just because I wanna see how my gun groups them for economic reasons...Any others?

I handload all my ammo now, but i used to use coreloks alot. they are slow to open, good on elk, but dont open up very big on deer and have a small exit hole. I was using Federal fusion a couple months back to get some brass, and it was very very accurate, about 25 $ a box and shot 1/2 moa.

Were you using the 130 or 150gr Fusions?

have never used them in a 270, just had good luck with that brand. if your going for deer id use 130s. But try the 150s as well and see what shoots better!
