I have a pound of H335, 500 X-Treme 55GR FMJBT, and all the equipment to start making bullets. Any favorite recipes? I will be shooting them out of my Axis.

Each gun has there own load they like. My axis loves 25 gr of benchmark with 50 gr nosler BT. I typically start with a low starting charge based on load data. Load 4 or 5 rds in .5 gr increments. I shoot them and see which group is the best. Welcome to the obsession of the one hole 100 yard group.

i do sorta like he said but i load 5 of each starting low and working up in .5 increments shot a ladder test twice to make sure the tightest loads are the same then take the remaining 3 and shoot a group of each ...but then i like to shoot.

Before you start asking for " favorite recipes" you might want to tell what cartridge you are shooting as there are a lot that will use the 55gr FMJBT bullet. The load for a 22 hornet won't be the same as for the 220 swift.

if your going to "start making bullets", we will need to know a few of the finished spec on those aswell before we can recommend a powder charge to go with it to complete your ammunition. :p
