Just Ordered a 116FLHSS 6.5-284

I just hope its the one with the bolt removal on the top right vs the bottom. According to the website photo, it does not have the lower bolt removal button but who knows: will probably call Monday before it ships out and confirm.

The plan is to take the factory barrel and stock off and use the long action for the Shilen 6.5-284 barrel. The other NSS varmint action will be used for the 260.

That's good. Just checking 'cuz you hadn't mentioned it in your other posts searching for the perfect gun. I'm a lefty,too, but have always shot right handed bolts. Finally got a lefty last year and I can't quite get real comfortable with it. go figure!

My first left handed gun was a 700 BDL in 30-06 back in the 80's. It took a little getting used to since I had always shot righty.. Hopefully, I will get used to this one sooner rather than later..

Mine came in with the bottom bolt release:o Its no big deal though. McMillan is letting me send my M40A1 stock made for the Rem 700 back and they are going to swap me out for the same stock made for the Savage.
