;D I just finished the final tune up on my Savage Switch gun i did not like the bedding so i redid it and took out the other little tweaks i did not like Its finally done to where i feel its time to start on my second barrel in 6.5 06 AI with a comp Muzzle break for prone shooting off the ground without a blast signal lol any the last target i shot was after i cleaned the barrel completely of copper build up after breaking it in and the target speaks volumes 5 shots out the tube first one low the rest all in one ragged hole at 125 meters that's where i like my rifles to shoot Wilpenny besides being a work of art Ty all enjoy

Great looking gun in a great caliber. And it shoots pretty well too I guess. ;)

What bullet and powder were you shooting ? Curious, because I have a 338-06 Improved also and am kind of looking for a load. I don't shoot it all that often and really don't have the time to spend on research for a load . . Actually, I haven't shot it for over 8 years, need to, it is a great shooting caliber. I took it out to the range and fired 6 rounds through it and they nearly all touched at 100 yards.

So I took it out a couple of weeks ago and shoot a Buffalo with it, one shot, one kill. I had some reloads that I had loaded years ago with Nosler bullets and it did the job very well . . I still have a few of them and may pull one and see just what is in there. I have lost most of the reloading info for that gun, didn't use to keep very good notes . . darn it. Just what powder you use and what bullets . . .
