I LOVE my axis 308! I never miss the opportunity to post pin-up glam shots of my baby. : ) My "stock is stock" except I did the internal stiffening job as well as cut the butt-stock portion down about 1.5". I added a rifle basix trigger and wit machine brake (which doesn't feel like it does anything--but it looks cool and doesn't affect accuracy so I left it on) and then painted it myself. This rifle spent dozens of days of hard hunting and abuse in the woods this season and still easily shoots sub MOA. I have lots of other fancier and far more expensive rifles that don't shoot as well (or I can't shoot as well--whatever the case may be).

My first big rifle(Left Hand 30-06)---took it to the range the other day, adjusted scope a bit and at a 100 yrs, was nicking the red center, loved it...that was with factory stock and a Bushnell Banner 3-9x40 scope....just changed out stock to a Boyds Featherweight Thumbhole, cant wait to get back out to the range...

I love mine. I have yet to find a flaw in workmanship. I just went to bore sight it and didn't even have to adjust the scope. It's perfect. That tells me it is put together straight and correctly. I tweeked the trigger also, now I love that too.:cheerful: Update, I shot it and sold it the next day. What a disappointment. The thing was all over the place. I traded it in for a Ruger American.

Didn't group well huh? What caliber was yours? My 308 isn't grouping well, and I'm not sure if its due to me not handling the recoil, or the stock or trigger or what. The scope and bases are all tightened down and I even made a rest for it and it still wont get anywhere close to MOA. Like to hear your experience shooting your Axis.

These rifle seem to be deteriorating in quality control since they first arrived on the seen.... On my second Axis now (both .243), its action was no where as good as the first one I received. But put in a boyds stock with factory 90g highlander ammo... it does this.
