Quickload Help 25-06 Hornady 110 Interbond

Anyone with quickload, can you run this for me?

Cartridge - 25-06 Rem
Powder - IMR4831
Bullet - .257, 110 grain, Hornady Interbond
Barrel Length - 24 inches
OAL - 3.135

I understand I need to work up the load but would like to know what QL says. I have the Hornady loading manual. I would like an additional source for this load. The manual states at the max load of 52.8 grains it will push the IB 3000fps. I think this is a bit slow as the 117 gr is faster.

BillPA, one question - why is QL showing a high pressure at 50,318 cup when I believe the max CUP for the 35-06 is 53,000 CUP?

Well for one, those calculations were made using LOAD From A Disk, not QL.

Second, the calculations are "conservative" numbers, a guide if you will, not necessarily the max velocity-pressures (SAAMI or otherwise) for a given cartridge. The reason? There are too many variables, things such as the case internal capacities manufacturer to manufacturer, the bullet seating depth off, on or in the lands, barrel, powder lot numbers and etc. Also, unless one has the equipment to measure pressures for a load is a WAG at best.

Again thanks. It is a good starting point for me. I appriciate your insight. I will start low and work my way up until I see pressure or I reach max charge.

Here is the Powley Computer online that does essentially the same thing. Do read the notes though and use with caution! I have one of these someplace that looks like a cardboard slide rule.
