Upgrades for my .270 axis

So two years ago on my birthday my grandpa bought me a savage axis in .270 win. since then I have been upgrading it so it is comfortable for me and my girlfriend to shoot . So I just bought a boyds applejack thumb hole stock for it . Now I was thinking about getting a bolt on muzzle brake( http://kahntrol.com/products-page/clamp-on-muzzlebrakes/ksmb585/) to reduce the recoil. it is $156 shipped to my door. Do you think that it is worth it? Also should I get a accutrigger? the pull is about 5 lbs .

No.

Personally I would forget the bolt on brake. For example, if you buy a Shrewd brake say from Brownells for $60 and have it installed you will not end up spending any more than the $156 bolt on brake.

I would pass on a brake, especially a bolt on. Accu-triggers are nice however.

A brake will make a big difference in felt recoil especially on a BOLT gun. Buy a decent brake and have your barrel threaded by a gunsmith. Like mentioned above, it will end up costing about the same as the bolt on and will look way better.

I like the look of the bolt on muzzle brakeThat's fine, but the function is the problem. Many people have said they blow off the end of the rifle when fired, more so with tapered barrels. That steered me away from them.

Blowing off the end... or getting bullet strikes because it's not centered on the bore. Do it the proper way and save yourself time, money and frustration.

Well I looked up the reviews for it and nobody has said anything about it blowing off the end so I may buy it
