is this scope mounted to high or ???

i'm waiting on my Boyd's Prairie hunter gun stock to be shipped to me in about a couple weeks and i will also be using a raised cheek rest pad on top of that . can get a good cheek weld right now and the eye relief is set but some friends of mine insist it is to tall and need to be mounted on smaller rings but i keep telling them the new gun stock will make it look different

You are the only one that can make that decision. It looks to high for me for what it's worth, but again it's not mine. The rule of thumb is to mount your scope as low as you can. On the other hand higher mounted scopes = longer point blank range, but that's a whole different topic.

You should be able to get a good cheek weld that's the bottom line. A cheek weld means cheek, not chin. I wouldn't be able to get a good cheek weld with something that high. On another note, your bipod is installed backwards. When you fold the legs up they should point towards the muzzle. Of course it still works that way if you prefer but it doesn't allow the adjustment of the adjustment dial for the pivot tension (if you have the pivot model).

The scope on my 6BR is mounted almost that high. I mounted it that high by default as I was impatient and didn't want to wait for more rings so I used what I had laying around at the time. It is a very accurate rifle and shoots terrific and I have no issues with the scope. It looks strange to me, but it works perfectly fine.

One of these days I'll pick me up a 30mm Set of Burris Sig Zee's in a medium for it.

with it set up they way it is now i can get a good cheek weld and have a clear view of the scope with proper eye relief and know once i install the Boyds stock it will be even better . Yes the bipod is mounted wrong in the pic and has been changed out to fold forward
