Need something for working up loads dont have much cash im a new dad and not currently working... let me know what will work well and is on the cheap thanks

All the rests I can think of are pretty pricey. A bipod and tail bag may be your best bet.

I was thinkin about the scissor jack idea. My step father has a nice Caldwell one with the adjustor I like alot just cant swing it right now

I have a farley, it is heavy!
I have ol all aluminum car jack my rx7
I am going to make one out of that. Sinclair sells the top end, mate that to a piece of aluminum, vooooooila.

Purrrrrrfect, I don't have much experience with metal fab. But how hard will it be to take off the existing top off the jack and put in a piece of metal to attach the front bag to?

A basic sandbag on the front fits all shaped forends well and is very stable. Hard to beat for the money.

Sportsman's Guide has a GuideGear adj. rest for $20. It's nothing fancy but does what it's made for. I had to expand one of the holes a touch though, the height bolt was binding due to the angled nut it screws into. But, for a full rest, $20 and a lil fab work is miniscule to a Caldwell Lead Sled...
