EGW 0 MOA scope mount for Axis rifle

just got this the other night and have a question on which way it mounts onto the Axis as there is definitely a difference to the end of the rail on ea side " beveled edge on the underside" . Which way does it mount and also the mounting screws is this a direct bolt on or do i have to modify the length of these screws so not to interfere with the bolt

The front of the base has a nose protruding in front of where the mounting crews go thru, For lack of a better way to put it. You may have to shorten the screws a couple of threads, Its a case by case thing.
