I've been shooting factory ammo for a while and am not impressed at all... What is a good all around load for pronghorn, deer, and elk?

Sierra Gamekings are awesome, nearly as accurate as target bullets, have high BC, and have a great balance of construction. And cheap

54.0gr H4350 and a 130gr bullet of your choice.

I use IMR 4350 and Nosler bullets, either Ballistic Tips or Partitions. I have had superb results with H4831 and Nosler Bullets too. For the record Federal Premium 150 grain Partitions and Hornady Custom 140 grain Interlock factory ammo have produced excellent results in several rifles for me.

I've had best results from 50g of H4350 under a 150g Nosler Ballistic tip with a Fed 210M primer...have used this load for over 20 year now on BlackTail, WhiteTail, Mulleys, 2 elk, 2 moose and 4 caribou and have yet to have anything get away.

For factory ammo I used Federal Vital-Shok with the Nosler BT's in 130gr & 150gr - before it got too expensive. I didn't want to have to take out a mortgage to go shoot for the day.
I have been using H4831 in my 270 with excellent results if you can't find any 4350.

Around 52.5gr for the 130's worked great in my rifle...

Yeah if you can't find H4350, H4831 proved to be pretty good for me as well when I was working up my loads...I'll have to go dig up those notes but think I had acceptable results from IMR4831 as well, but it's been awhile.

That h4381 looks promising. So while I'm lookin for powder what are some good factory ammo that had good results. The ammo I was shooting was Remington 130 and 150 corelokts the 150s are like shooting a softball down range

For the record Federal Premium 150 grain Partitions have produced excellent results for me.

This the one and only load that my 270 has ever shot worth beans!, I've got component bullets and I suspect RL22 will work with them?

130 over H4831 is your standard go-to load for the 270 but something else may work even better in your rifle. H4350 has been mentioned, it is a great powder, use it with excellent results in my 7mm-08. As an aside my 270 never really liked 130s, shot 150s ok but 140s were its favorite by a big margin.

I'll look in my reloading manual, load up some stuff and let you know how it works. I gotta get powder first so I'll experiment with factory ammo and tell you what works best

And thanks for all the replies

When I had mine, I liked the 130 SGK's with IMR 4350 the best but Stomp pretty much nailed it above.
