Bought a 110 pre-accutrigger in .223. I took it to the range yesterday and the best group I got was about 2" @ 125 yds using my .223 realoads (55gr. FMJ, 25gr. BCL 2). basically the same load I use for my M16 and Ruger AC556.
I'm looking for a load more specific to rifle. It is a 110 long action with a 20" heavy barrel. EGW 0 MOA scope mount and 8-32x 50mm AO Swift Premier scope.

BTW, I also own a 10 FP accutrigger model and my 180gr. Sierra spitzer and 42gr BCL 2 is dead on to .68" groups @ 125 yds. Ken Farrell 0 MOA scope mount, 6-24x 50mm AO Swift Premier scope
Any info is greatly appreciated,
Pete

I also have a 110 in 223 I just recently got. I made a handload using 55gr FMJ at an OAL of 2.260", and 25.3grs of Reloder 15. I also made the same load with 55ge V-max's.
Both loads hit under 1" easily, but the V-max did a little better.

25.0grs of H4895 and a Sierra 55gr BTSP is awesome from my Stevens 200, they are being it with Fed205's but I had no accuracy change with cci400's.

55 grain FMJBT pushed by 23.5 grains of H322, WSR primer in WCC93 brass gives me 2" groups in an iron sight AR-15 with 20" heavy barrel. For the AR, they are seated to 2.246" with a light crimp. You should get better mileage in a bolt gun. Seemed like a real mild load in the gas gun.

I had a mess of 55 gr fmj's given to me. I took them only to foul a few shots out of a clean barell before I shoot my good stuff. I can not get them to shoot much better than 2-2.5 inch groups. Anything else I ever put through it shot around 3/4" or less. I am not sure of the brand of bullet they are, but the must be pretty bad. It doesn't bother me for what I am using them for.

Doe's your ruger shoot them well ?
