.338 Lapua

I had a buddy ask me a question about building a .338 lapua and I thought I had read that you couldn't built it off the standard LA savage actions and thats why they built the .338 edge to be able to use a standard LA. If someone could clear this up as to what savage acitons can be used to build a .338 lapua. Thanks!

338 Lapua action is a special version, beefed up for the caliber.
Yes, you can use a regular long action to build a 338 edge
