Like I said in my last post. Pulled it apart this morning after bedding.

Got it all put together. Going to take it out tomorrow for a break in. Here's a video:

Well took it to the range the other day to start a CU equilibrium break in. Just used off the shelf Win Ammo, and not too concerned about how it grouped. Everything went flawlessly so far and managed to get half the break in completed, as well as the sight in.
Now time for load development. After lots of searching I found 1 8lb keg of AA2700 @ Grafs. This is not the powder I ideally wanted, but these days, you got to take what you can get right? Along with the powder I ordered 500 190 MK and 5000 Wolf large rifle primers.

Update: I went out this morning and finished up the break in with some of my own handloads. Once that was done shot a 5 shot group for accuracy. I had 5 different loads to test this morning, but it was just too cold and windy. However, I was pretty pleased with my first group. It was fired prone (on the ground) off a Harris bipod. The load I tried was 52 gr AA2700 In a Lapua case with WPA primer. Bullet was a Sierra MK 190 gr seated .002 off the lands. Like I said, cold and windy, the range was 200 yards. The group measured out at 1.5" not too shabby I think for my first attempt and considering the conditions (if I say so myself). At that point I decided to quit for the day (on a good note).http://i1371.photobucket.com/albums/ag301/rjgaudier/Targetmarch4_zpsc0d445d0.jpg

I'll be the first so say I don't normally have much love for camo... But holy crap this gun is awesome! That pain job looks really great man! Good work!

Thanks, I'm pretty happy myself with the results. I did practice on a Chinese air gun first with a couple of other methods. The sponge method produces very pleasing results and is really easy to do. No taping or stencils required. i'm going for an extreme range "sniper" here, so the camo look is a must.

Just another update, I know it's been awhile. I've been experimenting some with different loads. Right now it seems like 190 grain boolits and RL22 are the ideal mix for this caliber. However, RL22 is harder than hell to find right now. So I got me a case (42 pounds) of surplus 7383. Now I have read lots of scary stuff on the forums about this powder, but I've got to say it has been working out okay for me. Here's the deal, this stuff is super bulky stick powder. Where I can fit 60+ grains of RL22 under a 190 SMK, I can only get about 51 grains of 7383. This only gives me about 2500 FPS so not ideal for extreme range (beyond 1000 yards). However, at short range (my club only goes to 200) I have produced some pretty good results IMO. This picture is a 'best of' and there was a flyer (could be me, could be the wind). But my other groups were not that far from this. Not counting the flyer the caliper group size was .666". This was done from a harris bipod and in the prone at 200 yards.
Nosler brass, Sierra matchking 190 and 51 grains 7383 with Wolf primer.
