Any issue with 5,56 Green Tip 62gr steel core in a model 12?

Not one bit... it still has a full copper jacket on it, the steel core has zero effect on barrel wear.

What's your barrel twist, that's going to be your only concern. 62gr stabilize best with a faster twist such as 1/7 which is why the military M4's and newer M16's all have 1/7 twist barrels to utilize the 62gr bullets. If you have a slower twist such as a 1/12 you'll want to stick with a lighter bullet around 40gr.

Edit: if you have the 1/9 you'll be better off sticking to 55gr for better grouping, but only experimenting will tell you for sure with your particular rifle.

The 1:9 should work very well. Some members here have had good luck with bullets as heavy as 75grs in 9 twist barrels. A 62gr should work fine, but each barrel is different so try it and see but I would be willing to bet it will be just fine.

Yes, but I'm not going to worry about it.

In a bolt gun it's not an issue as it is with semiautos. The issue is with case extraction in semiautos due to the higher pressures which is why Military rifles have chrome line chambers to help with extraction.
