RP12, yes I got it out (or my friends with the welding and machine shop did) after much headache and heartache.

FWIW, we used a method I found in the practicalmachinist thread ShawneeB referred me to. (Thanks, ShawneeB!)

Basically, we took the action out of the gun, then clamped it into a milling machine, then used a small center drill to drill out the center of the screw (I had already softened the screw – somewhat – by heating it with a huge solid copper soldering iron, which drew out some temper from the hardened steel screw) then my friend tried a small screw extractor (no go) and then he chucked a Torx 5 or 10 (I forget) bit into the milling machine, and pushed that down into the hole he had drilled, then backed the screw out by turning the chuck manually. Whew!
