CBI 7mm-08 barrel question

I'm considering buying a CBI 7mm-08 barrel from NSS. I would like to know, from people who have this barrel, what your coal is with the 168 berger hunting vld, also what your velocity is with what powder and barrel length. I can call and ask but figured someone here would have the answers.

Well, I thought I would have you some answers by now but its been about 14 weeks & no barrel. Got the exact barrel on order with NSS back in September but they keep saying its delayed from the factory.... Maybe soon.

I hope your wait is over soon. Waiting on parts for a build is one of the hardest things to do.

Winchester brass 168 VLD, H4350 @ 46.5 grs, cci-200 primer. Shot in 24 "criterion barrel around 2720 fps. Also shot 162 amax with 47.2grs, and same components. Speeds were 2750 fps. Hope this helps!

168 vld Bergers were 2.219" with hornady comparator. Which was .042" off the lands.

Did you get your barrel yet? I have one on order and already I have been told twice it will arrive during a certain week but never did. I know we are in need of a barrel but essentially we paid already for something we don't have. I would much prefer employing the same approach the hotels use...book the thing and pay when you get the service. Just a thought. What is the lead time this days with NSS anyway?

I talked to Jim at NSS yesterday and the news was not good. Bottom line, I cancelled the order and Jim is working a refund. Short story.... CBI is WAY behind and according to the records that JIM had, there is not any 7mm barrels coming in soon. He was pretty sure that it would March or later for the 7mm barrels.
Normally CBI does Jim at NSS good but the breaking of a new machine at CBI has put everything at least 6 1/2 weeks back. But it really is longer than that.....
So I will just go another direction for now. Probably get back with Jim maybe this Fall.

Per my discussion with CBI they will be shipping the 7mm barrels by mid to third week of March timeframe. I will update this if anything changes.

I placed my order for a light varmit 1-9 twist 7mm-08 in Oct. myself still no barrel i have sent a few emailsto Jim but no answer kinda feel like im dealing with Sinarms again.I should have ordered the shilen instead but ive waited this long should just wait it out.
