OK, I have more Savage rifles than the LGS. Most are Axis models and I just love 'em..... I just finished a McGowan bbl'd Axis 6.5 TCU and it's just flat fantastic.
I thought about making my own 'tacitcool' bolt handles/knobs.
I thought rather than destroy the good handles on my rifles, I'd order a few spares.
I input the Ser # of MANY of my Axis rifles only to get a "# not found" reply....wtf?
I have a machine shop and it will be easy for me to modify a spare handle..... I'll call tomorrow, but the "# not found" bothers me.
If it was for the B-Mag, I could understand. ha ha
