Pretty cool. I saw a project where someone took an AR blemished lower and cut out the mag well. He then cut his Savage stock inserted a mag into the AR magwell and got the part into proper position, Next he epoxied the parts into his Savage stock. Now his Savage takes AR mags and reportedly runs fine.

well i thought about that my self but dont want to modify the opening on the bottom of my reciever and bottom of my bolt to make all that work and yes you would have to do all that for the mini 14 mags as well,, its a lot more than just getting the mag in there

Anyone have any ideas about a long action version of this? I have a 30-06 that I have been searching far and wide for an extended mag for. It seems everyone that makes/fabricates theirs is usually a short action only solution. Thoughts?

That does look awesome. I'd attempt that but I'd ruin a pile of Axis and Mini 14 mags in the process. And to think I just sold my 6.8 Ranch rifle with all the mags. I'm thinking a 22-250 might be possible with that combination. Some guys have all the talent!!

I am just 24 hours old to AXIS and hooked already. I'd love to have more than 4 shots with my 22-250.

I just want to jump on the bandwagon and state that I have both a .223 & a .308 length Frank made magazine. Flawless. The bees knees!!
