Will the model 12 VLP target action cycle WSM?

I'm looking to do a short action build and am leaning towards a short mag round (still to be determined). I like the target actions and am looking at the LRP with the DVM, but am wondering if the ejection port is large enough for the WSM shells.

Has anyone done this before? I know the single shot target actions will feed them, but I'm hoping to use this hunting and don't want a single shot bolt gun for that.

I'd like to know if anyone can explain the difference between these 3 action types:
- Model 12 Target LRP
- Model 12 Varmint VLP DBM
- Model 10/11/16

Is there a difference between the model 12 Varmint and model 10/11/16?

VLP doesn't use a target action. WSM is no problem, came in WSM from the factory at one time and may still.

Won't be any problem. I have a 12 VLP in 300 WSM that is all factory. Savage still makes it in 300 WSM.
