Savage 12 FV in HS stock

Hey all. Does anyone know if a savage 12 FV 223 Varmint with internal mag will fit in a HS take off stock from a 10 FCP-HS DBM? Do I need to do anything else besides getting a 223 magazine? Thanks.

If your 12FV is a centerfeed action, then yes it will.

You will need the steel DBM frame (p/n 106238). You will also need a 223 DBM magazine (55155), or simply use put a steel base plate (106245) on your factory mag well/follower combination.

Thanks boiler. Im little confused. The HS stock off a 10FCP is DBM. Are you saying DBM frame for a 223 is different than a 308? I thought the only diff between the 2 would be the mag.

No, the actual steel DBM frame.

The stock may be inletted for DBM, but does it actually include the bottom metal with it? If so you simply need a magazine solution, if not then you'd need the steel DBM frame and a magazine.
