Model 12 204 to 243ai

Got a couple questions : first I have a model 12 short action that is chambered for 204ruger I am wanting to rebarrel to 243ai what will I all need besides bolt head ? What magazine parts will be needed? Any help is appreciated ... The 243ai barrel is on a long action right now is the the mag on 12 gonna be ok to load to max lengths I am right now?

I built one for a buddy. Same swap as you are thinking. New bolt head, bolt baffle, mag box and mag follower. On the bolt baffle, make sure you order the long action and not short action on midway.

This one is same as yours, and won't allow for full stroke. It is designed for 204/223 mags with spacer in them.

Ok thanks ... So as far as magazine can I take spacer out if one on my mod 12 and just get the follower or could I use follower out of 110 and bolt head off 110 bolt?

As far as the mag, you might be able to adjust the feed lips but you will need a new follower. You could sell the old mag box and follower in classified to offset cost. Same with old bolt head. I don't think a long action head will work on a short action bolt.
