I recently bought a real nice Stevens Springfield 87a, but when making sure the sights where on i noticed im hitting way high at 25yards (its a .22 if you didn't know that) and the rear sights ramp is all the way down. Anybody got an idea what i can do to fix that issues?

not sure a (fix) is possible but there are probably options.
#1 aim lower.
#2 shoot at longer distances.
#3 try different ammo assuming you can find it.
#4 install a different sight.
#5 maybe a different hat would help.

Its semi auto, if i go to much lower in velocity it wont cycle. And it's hitting just so stupid high at 25 i wont be dead on until probly 100-125yards and the iron sights are a little to crude/bulky for that distance lol. You think i should bend the back sight back a little? My grandpa told me about that with my other .22 but thats a rare .22 and the m87a isnt so what do you think?

Try to find a taller front sight.

http://img.tapatalk.com/d/14/01/04/hasy5aje.jpg its kind of odd, most rifle sights are on a dove tail but this one, it is but not tight. Its actually held on by a screw

Just a guess here, but perhaps it's not the original front sight. I would measure the dovetail and see if Williams or any of the any other sight manufacturers make something a bit lower that fit your dovetail.

Ha! Ya got me! (I wish I could say I did that on purpose to see who was awake, but obviously I was the one asleep! ...Higher, Lower...whatever it takes...)

Yes. Taller front sight, not a lower one. Thanks for catching that and posting the correction.
