I just got a Choate Tactical stock for my FCP-K. It fits me much better than accustock did and the added weight should help too. I did have to do a little dremel work to accommodate the bottom bolt release but that took about 10 minutes. If anyone else decides to go this route I can show you pictures of what need to be done to get the trigger guard to fit and allow the bottom bolt release to function.

Nice tool. Now turn you bipod around.

Thanks

I know it looks funny that way but there's a very good reason I have the bipod that way. I shoot FTR and I have no use for the swivel adjustment, I set it once and forget it. I do however use the micro elevation adjustment a lot and I can't reach it when the bipod is flipped around the other way.

Oh yeah those things are awesome! I don't have the vertical adjustment so I wasn't aware you could not reach the knob. I almost bought one when they went on sale earlier this year.

That's nice too. What action, caliber and barrel is that? My next change will be a barrel swap I just can't decide on what to go with, I do want to stay with .308

Very nice, I have the same stock on my fcp-k with the adjustable comb and all the whistles.

Stevens action, CBI 308 barrel, H-S precision stock. In this picture it has a choate cheek riser with an elastic sleeve but I have since put a DIY Karsten style one it and done a Manners style paint job. I did start with a Choate like yours and was very happy with it.

Nice. I'll probably paint mine too when I take the action out to rebate. How do you like the CBI barrel?

DOOOO IT. The stability is unreal. If you want to go with a folding leg design the Sinclair Tactical is the best IMHO.

I'll have to look into it more. Do you have to push on those while your shooting like the Harris? I need to work on my technique as my 308 I can't seem to get to recoil strait.

Pushing against or loading a bipod is all personal preference. I've seen guys shoot great while letting the rifle free recoil into their shoulder and the same can be said for those that load. You can push against this bipod; I had a harris before this one and I find that I don't push as hard with this bipod but then again this bipod changed the way I shoot too. It was like shooting a totally different gun at first.

And get some lower rings for that scope!

I was thinking about one for f class and possible prairie dogs. I think I just need to improve my technique with the Harris. The Sinclair tactical bipods look very nice.
