Savage model 35 information needed

I have a model 35 Savage .22 and want to put a "fancy" stock on it. Of course nobody has a listing for the model. What other model shares the same action/barrel or something that is close that I can modify to fit. Any help out there?

Hate to tell ya, but there isn't anything for a current Savage that would work with the Model 35, and looking at it I can't think of any other brand/model that might have a suitable donor stock. The problem is the bolt handle and magazine for these is further forward than modern designs.

OK, maybe I'll run the stock through the table saw a few times and add some lams of birch or cherry? Then I will have a laminated stock. I really want a higher comb too, I'll have to think about how to do that and keep the "look". The saw takes 1/8th" with a cut - hmmmmmm.
