New to Savage

Like the title says, I'm as new to Savage rifles as you can get. I know Savage has a great reputation and I'm pumped to have bought my first Savage rifle. I bought their new Savage Mark II BRJ .22 cal LR. It really caught my eye and had all the features I had wanted in a gun without breaking the bank.

Are all Savage Mark II rifles essentially the same when it comes to magazines? I'd like to order a few more mags for it, but not sure where to go to get them. Any suggestions? I usually use Midway USA and Cabela's but haven't seen any specifically marked for a Mark II rifle.

Yep. They're pretty much the same. Some are five round and some are ten round. Just make sure you don't get one for the .22 Mag.

Although I haven't done this yet, I've read that if you just call Savage and order what you need, the price and shipping costs are excellent. And, you'll be getting factory mags. It's where I'm gonna get my spare mags in the future. BTW, glad you like your new rifle.
