Tech help please

Model 1899 built in 1912 from what I have researched. Will not chamber last round. Becomes jammed as it is traveling up feed ramp on the right side. I'm new to this so please be nice :)

Well I sent it off to a gun smith in the area so hopefully it will come back shooting

Just got the rifle back and it is in functional operation now. It will only load 4 of five rds from the rotary mag. The smith said the clock spring is weak and doesn't have the power to feed the last round

Sounds plausible. 102 years, the spring is bound to weaken.

You can wind in more tension.I have done it many times.
