Any thoughts on vortex's crossfire II scope?
I've heard of issues on the original crossfire
but no comments on 2nd gen.
Im drawn to a company that stakes their credibility/warranty on their products
absolute quality and the price point is in my ballpark financially. Of all the scopes I
Have been researching the last few weeks the vortex seems to fit my criteria well.
Thanks to all and any responses.

Vortex has some very nice scopes. You didn't mention the caliber but if you have recoil you will have the opportunity to utilize the outstanding warranty they have at least once. Possibly twice or three times.

I have a crossfire 2 on a 308 it takes the recoil fine so far about 160 rounds down the tube so far.

That's exactly what its going on ....a .308, forgot to put that in there. Model 10fp le2
Good to hear blackbart, hopefully they've addressed the issue in the latest configuration.

I like Vortex products in general but the CFII isn't one that I like at all.

Broke a CFI on a .22! The entire ocular lens fell out. It was replaced but that scope went down the road.

Here's the place I've found with the best pricing on scopes and stuff.

I'm beginning to think the vortex viper series may be a better bet.it seems th
when I start looking @ a particular maker (1st it was nikon, then it went to bushnell
then redfield, leupold, and now vortex) I reason that for $50 more I can add this/that
and have a better scope overall for the money. I get frustrated and end up going back
to the beginning again......invariably, I end up w/the vortex again. Their no nonsense warranty
I believe has me hooked. The CF II must not have the time on market to have a serious track record yet.

You won't be disappointed with the viper but if your shopping with a tight budget the diamondback is a great scope for the price I have 1 on my .270win and it has held up very well even with the beating it's received

Can't speak as to the recoil difference between a .270 vs a .308 but
I'm leaning heavily towards the viper hs most likely.
