Good Saturday Morning from an icy west MI.
I want to get a semiauto 260,
AR10?
use? I don't know, but I want to keep it light.
Which upper or complete rifle should I get?
What kind of accuracy can I expect out of it?

Sure, Ar10 frame or FnFal. Gonna be a wait.

Any Ar-10 will be about the same. I think armalite and dpms make 260. I have an armalite ar-10 in 243 coming soon. The guys I hunt with use armalite and dpms ar-10 and like them a lot. Accuracy don't really know, but it won't be as good as a Savage I bet.

so which one? dpms? or armalite?
don't really need it but I want it.

Well that always say "remember your ABC's"

I wouldn't be concerned at all buying either though, I wonder the wait time?

I bought a DPMS LR-260H last year. It's a great rifle,and a very good shooter.
It has a 20" barrel, and is the next to the lightest model DPMS makes. The rifle prefers to shoot 140 gr Sierra Gamekings, and groups 5 rounds right around 3/4" at 100 yards.
I only handload for it,and resize 243 brass into 260. It's a hog killing machine!

As for a wait in getting one, find a local DPMS dealer.I only waited 3 days to get mine,it just had to be shipped from an out of state distributor to the dealer, and they had several in stock of each type in 260 Remington.

There are many rifles under the DPMS pattern. There is only one AR-10 made by Armalite. The DPMS pattern is good but it is hard to say light and the rifle you want in the same sentence.

Wow TX, that's pretty good! I heard long waits on 204, didn't know on any others. I use to use JT alot for uppers and Stag for lowers but that was 5.56 of course. Think JT does others though, haven't ordered an upper in a long while but it was a nice product.
