my potable diy reloading bench

needed something small for my apt. and had the clamp work bench that i never used so i hit up lowes and in the scrap bin was a whole sheet of water stained mdf for 5 bux so this is what i came up with..

ok so it wasnt that sturdy with the folding legs so i over built this lol

Glad you fixed the original post. After I reread it, I was going to recommend seeing the clinic about that.

And put a coat of paint on that press. It's an old timer. It deserves a little respect.

And then a year later was running this setup, which also includes my MEC 12 gauge setup not mounted in photo. Excuse the mess, second story of garage is the dump area of spare used up dirt bike parts and stuff.

Trust me, you are going to wanna put a shelf across those leg supports for storage, you're going to need it once you start acquiring more equipment, and believe me you will. ;)

Like Boots said, you'll definitely need a shelf or 2 for your accumulation of accouterments. If you are really creative, you'll find a way to catch those spent primers before they hit the floor. Believe me, nothing will kill romance anymore than your better half stepping on primers or going through the vacuum cleaner.;)

yea ive been trying to come up with a way to catch them but im not having alot of luck and you cant get the cup for that press any more

My setup started off as a kit a couple years back it has now taken over a whole room unfortunately I had to move it to my fathers for the time being as I'm moving around for work and its to much for my current apartment. He is as ocd as they come though its nice to just put in an order and have it filled with perfectly loaded ammo lol.

i like the shelf above for charging and weighing. it puts that more at eye level. shelves below as suggested would be good.
it would also stiffin the bench from racking when using the press. enclosing the sides and back would help there also.
hanging a large can like a coffee can from the press will catch (most) primers. just remove when not in use. none of them work perfectly
anyway. a small folding type table to one side will give more space if needed when needed. you have the meat and potatos for loading
right now. you could survive very well on just that.

I don't know what the cup looked like or it's size for that press...but I found a cup off of a medicine bottle (like nyquil) that fit my old CH presses perfectly. Worth a shot...

Looks great! It won't take you long to outgrow it though. The disease will spread like wildfire...I now have a room "man cave" in my barn that's about 8'x10' and has a 10' standing height bench down the side and a shorter desk height bench down the shorter side...several old kitchen cabinets adorn the walls...and I need to add more soon...hahaha! The room was plenty big at one point, sometime not so long ago it has gotten to small and I've had to reduce to using just 1 press at a time.

Soon , it'll be most of the living room.

I appropriated the entire garage. I dry walled, insulated & air conditioned. Added extra light, side door, carpet.

Because the washer & dryer are in the garage I marked the floor with yellow tape. Estrogen on one side, testosterone on the other. A sign on the wall clearly states: "If you don't like it, go back in the kitchen." I won't tell you where it almost ended up...

I even added a dead bolt that I can lock from the inside.

Enjoy you new addiction from which there is no escape...
