this was done with a sponge i did a solid 2 coats of od green then did sand stripes. next i sprayed some od green on a piece of cardboard and blotted the sponge in it. then dabbed the sponge on all the sand colored spots. then repeated the steps with san on the od green. then black on that and then sand once again over everything... then i did 7 coats of flat clear and scuffed it with brown scotchbrite to dull it out

Sooooo....

When are you actually going to take that thing out & shoot it?

Or, are you waiting for the snow to melt down to somewhere under 3 ft.?

Wow, that looks outstanding, great job! I'd sure like to see a video, or more detailed pictorial of how to do this, for us mod challenged folks. That rifle looks sweet!

Thats one of the best camo paint jobs I've seen yet! Thank you for the details, I might attempt it on a cheekrest first as I too am mod challenged.

Kind of looks like a digital camo. So, what if you go in to analog woods???:biggrin-new:

That was pretty funny. Now I have to check & see if we have analog or digital jungle here...

My last few attempts at camo paint I used the T.N.T.S.I.U.T.B.

I like the sponge camo a lot. It's definitely a lot easier to get great results than other methods and patterns I've tried. the woodland colors look really good on yours. I usually top coat mine with some Testors Dull Coat clear to seal it all up. Great stuff.

That's the beauty of camo Frank. It's not supposed to be perfect.

Yeah I know...

You've never seen me paint.

I'm one of the few that CAN screw up a camo paint job.

Even if you "screw it up" you just keep going until you're happy with it!
