dual port LRPV in 6mm br

i just ordered a model 12LRPV dual port single shot rifle in 6mm br 1-8" SKU# 18622 and I have a couple questions.

Does this stock need to be bedded or shoot as-is?

The catalog I ordered from said 1-8" twist, but the Savage web site says 1-12", how will I know when I get it, will it be marked?

It is described as left load, right eject. If I got a left handed bolt head would it eject through the left port? Or is that port too small?

I have a model 12 benchrest in 6br, with the 8 twist marked on the barrel. I believe it is also marked on LRPVs. Also, i believe the 12 twist has a different sku number.....you might check on gunbroker or savage web site for this information.

It might need bedding and it might not....shoot it for awhile then decide.

Good question on the left eject with the left hand bolt head. My thought is it would eject the left. I believe both ports are the same dimensions.

bedding won't hurt it. you have it coming in a pretty good stock may not help.
