Savage 110 internal mag. problems

I have a 110v 22-250 and when you load 4 shells in the internal magazine and push down the bullet to close the bolt upon opening the bolt to kick the shell in the chamber the bolt slides over the shell without kicking it in. You have to move the shell 1/8" towards the barrel to get the bolt to pick it up and push it in the chamber. What is causing this problem?

sounds like the rear of the feed lips need opened up just a tad to allow the round to come up some.
